Guided Trips
Stalking and sight casting to wary and elusive bonefish and permit in warm, knee-deep, crystal-clear water is the quintessential angling adventure. The rush when your ghostly target is first encountered, the seemingly endless stalk, the satisfaction of a well-placed cast, the ultimate gratification when your fly is pounced upon. Your reel and line scream hiss. There is the unbelievable speed and power of the fish. The end result between the "hunter" and his quarry is a weary fish that is gently released unharmed.

What’s the best time to fish Ascension Bay? We are open all year round. Our peak season runs from March to June.

Fall: October thru November you can enjoy beautiful sunny days and delightful breezes. There are lots of local bonefish, permit and some baby tarpon, plus bigger migrant tarpon that arrive in June and depart in December. When weather is good this is a perfect time to fish but rain might appear for one hour or two and disappear, or stay for 2-3
days. It’s also Hurricanes season.

Winter: December, January and February are dry months with lots of sunny skies. There is an abundance of local bonefish, permit, tarpon and barracuda. This time of the year might be windy when cold fronts coming from the north pass through the Caribbean.

Spring: March, April, May and June are our peak season. It’s general accepted that this time of the year weather is better, lot’s of sun and low winds, but sometimes we have heavy winds and rain. This is the time for more and bigger permit.

Summer: During the summer months there is no wind. The water is flat and there are plenty of migrating tarpon that are mucho hungry. The average temperature is higher than the rest of the year but not by much. Summer is the rainy season so you might have a few clouds and rain during the day. The rain usually only lasts and hour. It’s true that this is our lowest season for bookings mainly because of trout and salmon fishing and summer in the states.
